The Good ..... and the Sad

Happy Sunday, everyone. Matt here, and, as a slight plug, anyone with even a passing interest in animation should check out Lion King in 3D. It's only around for a week or so and well worth it.

Now, on with the show:

The Good

The Duplex

It's a fairly weak Sunday, but this gave me a quick chuckle.

The Sad

Soup to Nutz

I couldn't stand this comic a few weeks ago and I can't stand it now. So, basically, he finds some money thinks of poor kids and a poor man and gives it to the poor box and then he finds some more money, thinks of the same poor kids and poor man, and buys himself some ice cream. WTF? I get that the comic is trying to show some link between doing good and a reward, but why even have the extra panels of him thinking of the poor kid/man again? That's just bizzare (and a bit depressing).

And, for a 130 pound man, couldn't he have just turned sideways and walked between the bars? Those have to be the most generously spaced prison bars ever.

In Soup to Nutz, thats not the same character in the top and bottom panels. They are brothers. The young kid on top is kind hearted & while the older brother in the bottom panels isn't bad, he's just not as nice as his brother. They also have a sister.
