The Failed Marriage App

Barkeater Lake

Barkeater Lake
Hahaha! Newspapers are dying, along with old acquaintances.

Betty
Betty
I predict this app will add a bit of turbulence to the marriage of this middle-aged couple. Though not so much of the "Hey! Why is Betty stopping by Tom and Vicky's house? Isn't Vicky visiting her mother in Houston this week? Dear God, how could she do this to me?!" variety, but rather we'll see the more pedestrian, "Betty knows my favorite dinner rolls are from the bakery downtown, so why the fuck is she going to the supermarket? How long has she been pulling this fast-one on me? That's it, no more post dinner foot rubs for her!"

Chuckle Bros
Chuckle Bros
This would have been an awful joke when the song was a hit, 11 flippin' years ago! Now, it's simply unconscionable. Who do I petition for the immediate cancelation of this strip?

Cornered
Cornered
Ug. Another outdated joke. Jim Carrey's wild slapstick humor also peaked 11 years ago.

Flo and Friends
Flo and Friends
First Treggie gives her grandma a girdle for Christmas, then she cheerfully exclaims she's going to return the gift given to her by that same grandma. I guess by "sensitive" Flo means, "horribly insensitive."

Herb and Jamaal
Herb and Jamaal
Ernie is also the name of the cab driver in It's a Wonderful Life. Nice little detail by Stephan Bentley, creator of this comic strip.

Off the Mark
Off The Mark
Usually puns in the comics are awful, but this one is cute.

What the Duck
What the Duck
Another well executed pun. What gives?

Okay, that all for today. See you next year!

No Mountain View

Happy Wednesday everyone! Let us commence with the comics review...

Agnes
Agnes
I can relate to this comic as I happen to live in a city named Mountain View. There's no mountain nearby.

Tank McNamara
Tank McNamara
I don't understand the football action in this strip at all. Jerome Simpson looks like he's just casually standing around. Either the creators of this strip don't watch football or they're incapable of drawing someone running. Both situations would be weird since this comic is primarily about sports.

The Grizzwells
The Grizzwells
Never mind the wretched pun... the bear and the porcupine both have jobs?! All the characters ever do in this comic is sit around on logs and set each other up for groan-inducing wordplay. Okay, that's not entirely true... sometimes they casually stroll through the forest and and set each other up for groan-inducing wordplay.

F Minus

Usually when people hold up pants it's to show how much weight they've lost, not gained. I think the joke could have worked from that angle too... since the joke seems to be that the guy on the right is a dick.

Bob the Squirrel
Bob the Squirrel
Bob the Squirrel has been talking about ending for weeks now. Just do it or don't do it already! Stop dragging it out. If this is an attempt to get all your fans to make a clamor for you to keep going, I have news: no one cares!

The Argyle Sweater
The Argyle Sweater
With Christmas less than a week away, here is a holiday themed comic for you all to enjoy! It's a bit disturbing, but funny still. Though I think the joke would have a bit more punch if the comic was entirely wordless. The jingle doesn't contribute that much.

That's all for me this week. Merry Christmas!

Bad Thoughts

Hey, Peter here again, bringing you more Wednesday comic review.

Adam@Home
Adam@Home
Whoa! Apparently, little Clayton's mind is a cesspool of bad thoughts so terrible and disturbing that he worries he could make Santa's "Naughty List" because of it. Adam's mind, of course, is filled with nothing but thoughts of coffee.

F Minus

I.Q. requirements for difficult classes is not a bad idea actually. It would have saved me from foolishly taking on Quantum Mechanics.

Love Is
Love Is...
Because there are certainly no major differences between these two sexless, cherub-like things.

Rose is Rose
Rose is Rose
The Rose is Rose clan destroyed that squirrel's home just so that they could hang shinny things on it for the next few weeks. And afterwards, they'll throw the dangerously dry plant in the trash. Yeah, sounds pretty awful when you say it that way. Artificial tree anyone?

Cannibalistic Chickens and Angry Squirrels

Hey! Peter again with some comics review. Let's see what Wednesday has to offer.

Adam@Home
Adam@Home
Ug. This kind of dumb wordplay seems more appropriate for "Get Fuzzy."

Birdbrains
Birdbrains
If the chickens are going to rub it in this guy's face that he's eating their kids, then why have eggs on the menu in the first place?

Bob the Squirrel
Bob the Squirrel
He wants to stop drawing the strip because his subject is an ugly, ill-tempered, one-eyed, half-chicken-half-squirrel monstrosity. I now see why there aren't usually any close-ups of Bob in this strip. I wouldn't want to look at him either.

Broom Hilda
Broom Hilda
Judging by the bloodthirsty look on the squirrels' faces, they don't want Broom Hilda's nuts they want her flesh. Um... don't try to use a spell to get out of this mess, it's not like you're a witch or anything.

Zach Hill
Zack Hill
Uh, technically didn't they kill one of these "eco-friendly carbon dioxide consuming" trees by chopping it down and putting in their house?

Anyway, that's all for today. See you next week!
